Individual Income Tax Division

The Individual Income Tax Division is a functional department of the municipal taxation bureau. It is responsible for policy guidance and administration of Individual Income Tax collection.

Functions:

1. To provide guidance over the Individual Income Tax policies and approval of relevant tax items.

2. To organize research for the Individual Income Tax operation, coordination on training throughout various departments.

3. To organize tax collection information exchanges; contact with relevant departments, collect and analyze information of taxpayers from foreign countries and taxpayers dispatched to foreign countries.

4. To draw up measures on monitoring, management and supervision of tax collection from high income taxpayers.

5. To coordinate with relevant departments on implementing taxation agreement. 

6. To raise proposals of administration of Individual Income Tax collection according to the traits of the tax and to the needs of the collection operation.

7. To conduct tax source investigation, income monitoring, statistics and analysis work.

8. To formulate and advance regulations on deduction methods before tax payment for individual funded enterprises, partnership enterprises and individual industrial and commercial persons; and also on annual final settlement.
